Cinemark and Lumma have announced plans to install Peru’s first-ever 4D E-Motion auditorium to the country’s iconic shopping center, Jockey Plaza in Santiago de Surco.

Opening on November 20, the 4D E-Motion experience will join an additional nine 4D E-Motion Cinemark locations across Latin America. The two companies first brought the immersive technology to the theatre chain’s moviegoers in Buenos Aires in 2017 and have since expanded across the region, including in Panama, El Salvador, and Chile.

According to market data provided by Omdia, 4D is the fastest growing sector in the industry. Lumma is celebrating the 10th anniversary of 4D E-Motion in the cinema industry and has seen 64 percent growth in 2026, with the opening of 59 new theatres across the U.S., Europe, and Latin America.

Upcoming titles in the format include The Cat in the Hat (Warner Bros.), How to Rob a Bank (Amazon MGMl), Ebenezer (Paramount), The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping (Lionsgate), Hexed (Disney) Jumanji: Open World (Sony), Dune: Part Three (Warner Bros.), and Avengers: Doomsday (Disney).
